Jerry works with community associations in all areas of law. From community formation and community change and amendment, to governance, collection and enforcement issues, and for over 30 years. Candyce has an extensive background in community association law and provides practical counsel to community associations. Candyce has many years of experience serving and representing community associations. This experience also contributes to Candyce’s appreciation of the unique factors of each community she works with and her ability to formulate solutions for community needs. In addition to representing community associations, Candyce’s background includes assisting developers in setting up new community associations. This background gives Candyce an additional perspective on the operations of communities from their inception. Lauren is a founding member of the firm. She provides experienced and practical advice to associations as a transactional attorney. Lauren has extensive experience identifying legal issues in a proactive manner and recommending realistic solutions based upon a keen understanding of homeowners associations. In addition to providing day-to-day legal advice, she educates boards on how to conduct legal and effective meetings, has assisted in successfully amending governing documents and has assisted associations with communicating the importance of the amendment and obtaining the necessary owner approvals. Jonah represents associations in a broad range of litigation matters, including those involving construction, covenant enforcement, foreclosure, easements, elections, leasing, and governance disputes. He also represents associations in first-party property claims, appraisals and litigation, obtaining multiple recoveries in excess of $1M. Jonah also advises community associations on transactional matters, including the interpretation and amendment of governing documents, election and voting issues, and preparation of opinion letters, policies and rules. He gives managers and board members the information and guidance they need to make informed decisions, avoid problems, and minimize risk. Jonah is a frequent speaker at continuing legal educational programs pertaining to community association law, real estate litigation, and first party property claims. He has presented before the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, CLE in Colorado, various Colorado Judicial Districts and local bar associations, private legal providers, and trade groups such as the Community Associations Institute. Aaron is a Colorado attorney who is also licensed in Michigan. Aaron comes from a background that includes working closely with residential and commercial property management and consulting firms in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Prior to moving to Colorado, Aaron worked with a boutique law firm handling a variety of real estate and business matters, including landlord-tenant law and working with local municipalities to develop sustainable land use policies. Since joining Orten Cavanagh Holmes & Hunt in 2013, Aaron’s practice has focused exclusively on working with homeowners associations and condominium associations in Colorado common interest communities. Aaron also works with a variety of timeshare and mountain resort communities. Joseph has been a Colorado attorney for over ten years. Having grown up in Florida, Joseph moved to Denver in 2009 after finishing law school. Prior to joining Orten Cavanagh Holmes & Hunt, Joseph served as a prosecutor for seven years for the City of Aurora. He has also previously clerked for a District Court Judge in Adams County. Joseph has experience in the courtroom, filing motions and handling appeals in District Court, as well as before the Court of Appeals and State Supreme Court. Joseph now brings this experience to assisting associations in covenant enforcement and litigation matters. Outside of law practice, Joseph enjoys spending time with his family, including his two dogs. He and his wife enjoy the cultural offerings available with DPAC and have been members of the Colorado Opera for many years.

Marcus is a Colorado attorney who has been practicing law since 2016.
