Birthing Centers Denver
Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Regis University and her Master of Science in Nurse Midwifery from the University of Colorado College of Nursing in Denver. Since 2010, Jessica has worked as a labor and delivery doula and nurse and as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Her clinical interests include pregnancy care, natural childbirth, breastfeeding, postpartum support, and mental health. Jessica is passionate about empowering her patients to achieve their desired birth experience and healthy outcomes. She was inspired to become a midwife after experiencing two successful midwife-attended water births in 2008 and 2010. “I believe that pregnancy is a state of health and birth is a normal life event meant to be celebrated, not a problem to be treated. How a person gives birth significantly changes their life forever. Therefore, the birth experience is as important as the outcome. I consider it an honor to be invited into the sacred space of a client’s pregnancy care and birth, and my role is to educate, guide, support, and ensure the safety of each parent and baby. I value evidence-based care and practice true informed consent and shared decision-making to empower my clients to make their best choices.” A mom of three, Jessica enjoys spending her free time with her children, hiking, gardening, working on puzzles, and investing in her friendships.
