A native of Dahlonega, Georgia, Dr. Murphy received her undergraduate degrees from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. She graduated with honors and obtained double majors in Biochemistry and Biological Sciences with a minor in Microbiology. Dr. Murphy earned her medical degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Following medical school, she completed her Family Medicine residency training at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. During residency, Dr. Murphy completed additional training with concentrations in Obstetrics and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. As a healthcare provider, Dr. Murphy’s clinical interests include comprehensive care for all, from newborns to the elderly, with additional interests in women's health, osteopathic treatments, and clinical procedures.“I think of the provider-patient relationship as a team. This teamwork prioritizes the patient's needs and desires regarding their health. Therefore, I do my best to provide patient-centered care, considering all aspects of a patient's health and actively listening for ways to optimize a patient's well-being.”Married with a young daughter, Dr. Murphy enjoys spending her time outside of the office with her family and their two dogs, traveling, skiing, exercising, spending time in the mountains, and cheering on her favorite hockey team—the Colorado Avalanche.
