Bios

• Ms Sloan

  Sloan Armstrong, the owner of The Goddard School since its inception in 2010, has consistently demonstrated her unwavering commitment to excellence. The school has garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious Goddard Systems Circle of Excellence and the Director of the Year award. Moreover, it has been recognized as one of the top preschools and childcare providers in Denver by Colorado Parent magazine. Notably, The Goddard School recently achieved Cognia accreditation and the Level Four Colorado Shines accreditation program. Sloan is currently a mother of two elementary school children who have both had the privilege of attending the Goddard program. She also owns The Goddard School of Aurora, another Circle of Excellence and award winning school. Sloan’s passion for quality education is evident in her work, and her longevity in the Washington Park, Denver and Aurora community. She’s a native of Colorado and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Business

• Amanda

  Ms. Amanda is our Director of Education. She has earned her bachelor's degree at Community College of Aurora where she studied early childhood education. She also has earned the highest level on Colorado's professional development system. She has worked in childcare for almost five years and adores working with early childhood children. She enjoys watching her students' unique personalities develop each day. Ms. Amanda's calm and friendly personality makes her a great addition to our Goddard team!

• Lyndsey

  Ms. Lyndsey is our Director of Operations. She previously taught Pre-k and has experience working with elementary aged students since 2017. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2020 with a degree in Interdisciplinary studies emphasizing on education and reading. She moved to Colorado with her husband in 2022. Ms. Lyndsey is passionate about classrooms using students' learning differences, diverse cultures, and communities to produce an inclusive learning environment. She believes in creating an atmosphere that is positive and supportive for students and teachers. Since February 2023, Ms. Lyndsey’s ambition has made her the perfect fit for our Goddard team.

• Alexis

  Ms. Alexis brings heart, dedication, and a strong foundation in early childhood education to our Frogs classroom. She earned her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through Colorado’s PDIS database and completed the Pyramid Plus Approach course, equipping her with the tools to support every child’s development with intention and care. She believes that every child is unique and deserves to feel seen, valued, and included. Her inclusive approach fosters a classroom environment where children can thrive both socially and academically. With her caring nature and thoughtful teaching style, Ms. Alexis has been a cherished part of our Goddard team since April 2022. We’re so grateful for the warmth and positivity she brings to our school community!

• Gisel

  We’re proud to have Ms. Gisel as a teacher in our Jungle Cats classroom! Since joining our Goddard family in December 2020, she has brought warmth, wisdom, and a deep commitment to nurturing every child’s potential. Ms. Gisel holds a Child Development Associate Certificate and brings a thoughtful, individualized approach to her teaching. She believes that every child possesses unique strengths and talents and that recognizing and celebrating those qualities is key to helping them thrive. Her unwavering belief in each child’s ability to grow and succeed is at the heart of her work. With her gentle spirit and steadfast dedication, Ms. Gisel continues to make a lasting impact in our classrooms and in the lives of the children she teaches.

• Grace

  Ms. Grace is a teacher in our Giraffes classroom. She has earned her ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. She believes that children are kind, caring individuals who deserve love and respect. She believes promoting support to her students by listening to their communication. Ms. Grace’s calm and caring personality makes her a perfect fit for our preschool classroom. Ms. Grace has been working with Goddard since October of 2024.

• Hailey

  Ms. Hailey brings energy and heart to every classroom she enters. A graduate of the Denver School of Innovation and Sustainable Design, she began nurturing her passion for early childhood education through developmental courses in high school and volunteer work in elementary schools. She finds true joy in guiding children through hands on learning experiences, helping them discover new ideas in ways that spark curiosity and confidence. Since joining our Goddard team in August 2021, Ms. Hailey’s outgoing spirit and genuine love for teaching have made her a cherished part of our school community.

• Joy

  Ms. Joy brings creativity, compassion, and a deep commitment to early childhood education to our Fabulous Frog classroom. Before joining The Goddard School in 2022, she spent two years as a preschool teacher in Alabama, where she discovered her love for guiding young learners. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Art from Alabama State University, and her artistic background adds a vibrant touch to her teaching style. Ms. Joy is passionate about helping children grow both as individuals and as students, always striving to meet each child where they are and support their unique learning journey. Her sweet and caring nature makes her a cherished part of our Goddard team. We’re so lucky to have her inspiring our little frogs every day!

• Julia

  We’re delighted to have Ms. Julia as part of our Giraffes classroom! With nearly five years of experience working with children from infancy through adolescence, she brings a wealth of knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm to her role. Originally from Chicago, Ms. Julia made the move to Colorado in 2023 and has quickly become an integral part of our preschool team. Currently working toward her Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) credential, Ms. Julia is deeply committed to professional growth and passionate about shaping the minds of future generations. She believes that children learn best through hands on experiences and strives to create a nurturing, engaging environment where every child feels seen and supported. Since joining us in July 2023, Ms. Julia has been a steady and inspiring presence and we’re so grateful to have her as part of our Goddard family!

• Kennedy

  Ms. Kennedy is a bright face in our Monkeys classroom, bringing excitement and a fresh perspective to the world of early childhood education. Though new to the ECE field, she’s eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children. She’s inspired by the joy and curiosity children bring to the classroom their love for school and openness to new experiences fuel her passion for teaching. With a fun loving spirit and a nurturing heart, Ms. Kennedy creates a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels seen and supported. We’re thrilled to have her on the team!

• Maria

  Ms. Maria has been a treasured part of our Goddard family since April 2017, bringing warmth, joy, and a deep sense of care to the Monkeys classroom every day. With her certification in Early Childhood Development, she creates a safe and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. She believes that a child’s safety and emotional well being are the foundation for meaningful learning. Her joyful spirit, gentle patience, and nurturing demeanor make her a favorite among both children and families. Ms. Maria’s strong work ethic and eagerness to keep learning shine through in everything she does. Her presence brings comfort, laughter, and inspiration to our school community and we’re so lucky to have her.

• Maria Eugenia

  Since joining the Goddard Denver team in November 2023, Ms. Eugenia has quickly become an irreplaceable part of our school family. With her deep experience in early childhood education, she brings not only a wealth of knowledge but also a radiant spirit and a collaborative heart that lights up every classroom she enters. Her belief that every child is beautiful shines through in everything she does. She works tirelessly to create a nurturing, safe, and joyful environment not just for our little ones, but for their families as well. Her warmth and dedication help ensure that every parent feels confident and comforted, knowing their child is in loving hands. We feel incredibly lucky to have Ms. Eugenia on our team. Her presence has made a meaningful difference, and we’re so grateful for the care, positivity, and passion she brings to our school every single day.

• Sonia

  Ms. Sonia is a beloved support teacher who brings care and compassion to every classroom she enters. Her passion for nurturing children shines through, no matter their age or stage of development. Since joining our Goddard Family in April 2022, she has been deeply committed to growing her expertise working toward her Infant Toddler Supervisor certification through Colorado’s PDIS database, as well as completing EQIT and Pyramid Plus Approach courses. Ms. Sonia believes that children thrive in environments filled with warmth, trust, and gentle guidance, and she embodies that belief in everything she does. We feel incredibly lucky to have her as part of our team.

• Theresa

  Since joining our Goddard Family in March 2021, Ms. Theresa has brought an incredible warmth and joy to our Koala classroom. With years of experience as a lead teacher for infants and toddlers, she has a deep understanding of early childhood development and a genuine love for nurturing young minds. Ms. Theresa earned her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through Colorado’s PDIS database and the Pyramid Plus Approach course, reflecting her dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. What truly sets Ms. Theresa apart is her heartfelt belief that every child deserves to feel heard, valued, and never alone. Her bubbly personality and radiant positivity light up the classroom, making it a place where children feel safe, loved, and inspired every single day.

• Alexis

  Ms. Lexi is a dedicated teacher who brings her calm and caring presence to every classroom at our school. With three years of experience in the child care field and her ECT certification through Colorado’s PDIS, she continues to deepen her knowledge while pursuing her education at MSU Denver. Ms. Lexi is continually inspired by the curiosity and creativity children bring into the classroom, and she strives to nurture those qualities with patience and warmth. Her gentle spirit and genuine love for learning make her a truly valued member of our Goddard team.

• Andrea

  Ms. Andrea has been a valued member of the Goddard Denver team since August 2024. From day one, she has brought warmth, positivity, and a radiant energy to every classroom she’s touched. Currently working toward her lead teacher qualifications, Ms. Andrea demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and excellence in early childhood education. She believes that effective communication is the foundation for helping children thrive both academically and emotionally. We’re incredibly grateful to have Ms. Andrea as part of our school community. Her impact is felt every day, and we’re excited to see her continue to grow with us!

• Victoria

  We’re excited to have Ms. Victoria as one of our teachers in the Hippos classroom! With a background as a swim instructor for infants, Ms. Victoria brings a gentle confidence and a natural ability to connect with young children. Though she’s new to the early childhood education field, her passion for learning and growth shines through in everything she does. Ms. Victoria is currently working toward her Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) certification through Colorado’s PDIS, and she’s eager to deepen her understanding of child development. She’s committed to listening closely to each child’s needs and supporting them as individuals. Her drive, compassion, and ambitious spirit make her a wonderful addition to our Goddard family and we’re so glad she’s here!

• Alejandra

  Ms. Alejandra brings warmth, dedication, and a deep love for early childhood education to our Elephants classroom. She joined The Goddard School in May 2023 and has been working with young toddlers since 2019, nurturing their growth with patience and care. Her passion for working with children began early in life and truly blossomed when she started taking Early Childhood Education courses. She earned her ECE certificate from Pickens Technical College, and her commitment to creating a safe, joyful, and enriching environment shines through in everything she does. Ms. Alejandra’s kindness and gentle approach make her a beloved member of our Goddard team. We’re thrilled to have her guiding our little learners every day!

• Carmela

  We’re so happy to have Ms. Carmela in our Rhinos classroom! She joined The Goddard School in August 2023 and quickly became a valued member of our teaching team. With her certificate in Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado, Ms. Carmela brings both knowledge and heart to her work with young children. She believes in tailoring each lesson to meet the unique needs of every child, creating a learning environment where students feel understood, supported, and inspired. Her soft-spoken nature and warm personality make her classroom a welcoming space for all. Since joining us, Ms. Carmela has brought a calm, nurturing energy to the Rhinos and we’re so excited to have her as part of our Goddard family!

• Chad

  Mr. Chad is our drum instructor. He has volunteered at The Goddard since 2009. Mr. Chad has dedicated himself to helping students learn how to rock regardless of skill level or life challenges. For nearly 30 years, he has performed with a multitude of local, national, and international touring acts, recorded a number of albums of his own as well as those of his musical brethren, and improved the lives of future rockers with private and group lessons. He takes great pride in his work. Mr. Chad's passionate personality makes him a great fit here at The Goddard.

• Daniela

  Ms. Daniela brings a wealth of experience working with children and is one of our dedicated lead teachers in the Koala Room. She believes that every child is a kind soul, deserving of patience, understanding, and compassion. Her philosophy centers on the idea that children are constantly learning and growing through their experiences, and that adults should respond with gentleness and empathy. Ms. Daniela’s calm demeanor, nurturing spirit, and unwavering kindness make her an invaluable part of our school community. Her approach not only fosters a warm and supportive environment for the children, but also reflects the heart of our school’s values.

• Gregory

  Mr. Gregory joined our team in August and has already made a meaningful impact. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State University and an Associate's degree from the Community College of Denver. Currently, he’s pursuing his Master’s degree in Psychology an exciting step that reflects his dedication to understanding and supporting young learners. With a background as a Behavior Technician working with children ages 2–8, Mr. Gregory brings valuable experience and insight into the classroom. Though new to the teaching field, he is a natural demonstrating a calm confidence, thoughtful leadership, and a genuine passion for education. He believes that a teacher should be a responsible guide who always keeps the best interests of students at heart. We feel incredibly fortunate to have Mr. Gregory as part of our team, and we’re excited to see all the wonderful things he’ll accomplish in the future!

• Jadyn

  Ms. Jadyn has been a valued member of our team since joining The Goddard School in June 2022. With a heart for service and a natural gift for nurturing, she brings both experience and compassion to her role. Prior to joining our team, she spent two years volunteering in her church’s children’s ministry, where she cared for young children and discovered her passion for early childhood development. Currently pursuing a degree in Nursing at Metropolitan State University, Ms. Jadyn is deeply committed to understanding and supporting the needs of others especially the youngest learners. She believes that kindness and patience are essential when working with children, and that caring for them offers adults a deeper insight into their world. We’re so grateful for the love and dedication she brings to our school each day!

• Jazzmen

  We’re thrilled to have Ms. Nico as one of the teachers in our Hippos classroom! Ms. Nico earned their Associate’s Degree from Pensacola State College and recently made the exciting move to Colorado. They are currently working toward their Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) certification through Colorado’s PDIS, continuing their commitment to growth and excellence in early education. Ms. Nico brings a gentle spirit, a compassionate heart, and a deep desire to nurture each child with patience and care. Their classroom is a joyful and safe space where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and be themselves. With their kind nature and warm personality, Ms. Nico is already making a wonderful impact and we’re so lucky to have them as part of our Goddard family!

• Michele

  Ms. Michele has been a beloved member of our Goddard family since July 2020, bringing over fifteen years of experience working with children from infants through age five. Her deep knowledge of early childhood development, supported by an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the Community College of Denver, shines through in every interaction. She has a special passion for teaching children manners and social skills in a way that’s both engaging and fun. Watching her students grow and reach milestones under her care is one of the greatest joys of her work. Ms. Michele’s loving nature and genuine dedication to the children she teaches make her an invaluable part of our school community. Her warmth, patience, and playful spirit help create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and excited to learn.

• Miriam

  Ms. Miriam has been a cherished part of our Goddard family since March 2024, bringing warmth, compassion, and a nurturing spirit to our infant classroom. As she works toward earning her Early Childhood Teacher certification through Colorado’s PDIS, she continues to grow in her role with dedication and heart. • Nubia

  Ms. Nubia brings warmth, energy, and a deep rooted passion for early childhood education to our Elephants classroom. Caring for children has been a lifelong calling she’s nurtured little ones in her own family since she was young, and now continues that journey with her own son. She holds an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) Certificate, earned through Colorado’s PDIS course database, and believes wholeheartedly in the power of play based learning. With patience, persistence, and creativity, Ms. Nubia helps children discover, grow, and thrive often without them even realizing they’re learning! Her bubbly personality and positive spirit have made her a beloved member of our Goddard School family since joining us in January 2023. • Paulina

  Ms. Paulina has been a wonderful addition to our Goddard family. With nearly four years of experience in early childhood education, she brings both expertise and a vibrant energy to our Panda classroom. Her philosophy centers on the belief that children are naturally curious, honest, and full of potential. She is deeply committed to supporting each child’s unique needs and learning style, creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all. Ms. Paulina also values the importance of strong partnerships between educators and families, recognizing that collaboration is key to a child’s success. Her dedication and positivity have made a lasting impact, and we are truly grateful to have her as part of our Panda classroom and our exceptional team.

• Peggy

  We’re proud to have Ms. Peggy leading the Jungle Cats classroom and sharing her talents as our on-site Mandarin instructor! Since joining our Goddard family in January 2012, Ms. Peggy has been a pillar of strength, warmth, and consistency in our school community. With a degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and further studies in Early Childhood Education at Front Range Community College, Ms. Peggy blends academic excellence with hands-on experience. She’s been working with children since 2004 and brings a deep passion for helping them discover new things, build confidence, and embrace challenges with a “never give up” attitude. Ms. Peggy teaches Mandarin lessons to all students ages 2 and up, sparking curiosity and cultural appreciation across our classrooms. Her calm demeanor, rich experience, and love for learning make her an invaluable part of our team and a beloved teacher to so many of our students.

• Rachel

  We’re thrilled to welcome Ms. Rachel to The Goddard School of Denver! Although she’s new to our location, she’s no stranger to the Goddard family and already shares a deep understanding of our values and philosophy. Ms. Rachel brings with her a strong academic background, holding a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont. She’s currently pursuing her Master’s degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, further deepening her commitment to child development and education. Her belief that every child is naturally curious and eager to learn, shines through in everything she does. Ms. Rachel is passionate about nurturing kindness encouraging children to be gentle with themselves and compassionate toward others. Her warmth, dedication, and joyful spirit make her a true asset to our school community. We feel incredibly lucky to have Ms. Rachel as part of our team, and we can’t wait for our families to get to know her!

• Samantha

  Ms. Samantha is a beloved support teacher who brings her gentle spirit and joyful energy to every classroom. Before joining our school, she worked at another Goddard School, and we’re so lucky to have her as part of our team. She loves spending time with children of all ages and has a special gift for making each child feel seen and valued. Ms. Samantha believes that every child is constantly learning and growing, and she approaches each moment with kindness, patience, and care.

• Seiah

  Ms. Seiah is a nurturing presence in our Rhino classroom. Though she’s just beginning her journey working with children, she brings a deep eagerness to learn and grow every day. At the core of her teaching philosophy is the belief that trust is essential that every child should have at least one teacher they feel safe with and can rely on. She values gentleness, kindness, and the power of soft guidance in helping children thrive. With her warm spirit and compassionate nature, Ms. Seiah is a wonderful addition to our school community.

• Shanise

  Ms. Shanise is a versatile and valued member of our Goddard team, supporting children across all classrooms with care and consistency. Since joining us in September 2023, she has brought a warm presence and a thoughtful approach to every learning space she enters. Currently working toward her Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) certification through Colorado’s PDIS, Ms. Shanise is deeply committed to growing in her role and expanding her impact. She believes that patience and understanding are the most important qualities a teacher can bring to the classroom, and that meeting the unique needs of each child is essential to helping them thrive. • Stephanie

  Ms. Stephanie is a cherished member of our Goddard team, bringing warmth and care to every classroom she supports. In addition to her role as a teacher, she lovingly prepares nutritious lunches for all our students ensuring they’re nourished in every sense of the word. With her ECT certification from Colorado’s PDIS and a heart full of compassion, Ms. Stephanie believes that the most powerful thing a teacher can offer is love, attentive care, and a listening ear. Her sweet and gentle nature creates a comforting presence that children naturally gravitate toward. Since joining us in March 2024, Ms. Stephanie has become an invaluable part of our school family.
