Dr. Edward Medina is a surgeon in Denver specializing in the repair of hernias. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado,  and completed a surgery residency program at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver.

Dr. Medina is board certified in general surgery. Dr. Medina has completed multiple advanced trainings for hernia repairs, including a mini-fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.

He is a member of the Denver Academy of Surgery, and is a Level II Accredited physician with the Colorado Division of Workers’ Compensation. His wide variety of experience with surgical cases includes utilizing both traditional and advanced laparoscopic techniques.Dr. Medina works in close partnership with referring physicians to provide patients with the best possible care. He stays involved in the post-operative treatment of inpatients and has immediate access to dozens of medical and surgical specialists for patients who need more specialized care.
